Why CyberSpectre · MMU Cybersecurity Club hired us.
CyberSpectre is the brand site for Multimedia University's elite cybersecurity club. The brief: a recruiting and presence site that feels as serious as the work, present everywhere, seen nowhere. We delivered a React + TypeScript + Tailwind build with a purple-on-black hacker aesthetic, a global command palette, and ten hidden flags scattered across the site as recruiting puzzles for prospective members.
University club sites almost always read like template clones, same WordPress theme, same generic stock photos, same forgettable copy. CyberSpectre is selective and serious, the site needed to filter for visitors who'd actually contribute, not just decorate a CV.
A site that doubles as a recruiting puzzle. Public surfaces show the club's presence, structure, and past CTF wins. Hidden flags in HTML comments, console logs, and unindexed routes give prospective members something to find. A `/` shortcut opens a command palette across the whole site.
